Here is her bio:
"Ruby Ewen's studio is in the Eardley Escarpment between Luskville and Quyon. She has painted in the West Quebec landscape for over 30 years. A graduate in History of Art at Carleton University, Ottawa, she is mainly a self-taught painter working in oil on canvas.
Grounded in Canadian landscape painting, Ruby Ewen has developed her own style, using pure colour in expressive brushstrokes on a white ground. Ruby often works in different series, changing her approach to suit the emotional feel of her subject matter.
Ruby has been showing consistently both nationally and internationally since 1967. Her work can be found in many public and private collections. Please see a complete c.v. and images of her landscape painting and work in minimalist abstraction on her web site. Call for details as the website is blocked by this company.
