Enjoy easy living within a 5 minute walk to Lake Bomoseen. Although not on the lake, you will have access to the private homeowners boat ramp, park area, and our personal dock space. Bring your boat, or rent one from the local marina to enjoy the largest natural lake in Vermont. Everything from paddleboards and kayaks to sailboats, jet skis, and ski boats are common. Bomoseen is known for its fishing all year round. Winter is very peaceful, and ice fishing is popular.
Our house used to be our home, and it is very clean and well kept. It is simple, yet comfortable. The deck is great for morning coffee or just relaxing in the sun. The fire pit in the yard makes for a great way to spend the evening. On the 4th of July, you can watch the fireworks from the back yard while enjoying a BBQ!
This area is amazing for road biking right from the house, or challenge yourself on some of the awesome "Gap Rides" over the Green Mountains. Great mountain biking is nearby at Pine Hill Park in Rutland, and at Killington, which is 50 minutes away. Skiing is easy to access at Killington, Pico is 40 minutes, Okemo is 50 minutes, and there are a number of nordic ski options. There are numerous hiking options, from very close by to all of the Green Mountains. It is 45 minutes to outlet shopping in Glens Falls or Manchester Center. And the leaves in the it's Vermont.
Our house is on a quiet dead end street, and feels fairly private. It is about a 5 minute walk to Crystal Beach Park. The Lakehouse Pub is 1/4 mile away. The new Lake Bomoseen Taproom, and The Palms restaurant are about a mile. Castleton is 3 miles and has a variety of eating options, including delivery pizza from Third Place. It is 20 minutes to the bright lights of Rutland.
You will have easy access off route 30, but be far enough from it to not notice it is there. It is quick, easy access to Castleton University, Green Mountain College, and Middlebury College.+ More
