Our house has everything you need for a comfortable vacation. You’ll love the peace and quiet of the surrounding mountains and national forest. Hiking, paddling, fishing, gem mining, sightseeing, micro-breweries, shopping and restaurants are all nearby. There are even hiking trails on the property! It’s a great place for families, couples, and solo adventurers.

The property is large and private. In front of the house is a small field - perfect for the kids to run around in. A creek runs along the front of the property and provide a shady area to relax in hammocks (provided) or explore under rocks for salamanders and crayfish.
Behind the house rises a wooded mountain and the national forest. There is over a half mile of hiking trails on the property, with more exploring to be had in the national forest.
There is so much to do in the area for the outdoor enthusiast: Hiking, paddling, fishing, shopping, sightseeing, beer tasting, wine tasting... and of course relaxing!
We recommend day trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Asheville, Cherokee, Highlands, and the Standing Indian Wilderness Area.
Great local hikes include the Bartram Trail, Cowee Nature Trail, Rufus Morgan Trail, Kimsey Creek Trail, and numerous access points to the Appalachian Trail.
Paddle down the Little Tennessee River, or go whitewater rafting at the Nantahala Outdoor Center.
Fish for bass, catfish, carp and walleye in the Little Tennessee River, or try your hand at catching trout in one of the many smaller rivers and creeks up in the high country.
Enjoy a cold, craft brew and listen to live music at the Lazy Hiker Brewing Company, or sip a fine Belgian style ale and watch the river glide by at the outdoor biergarten at the Currahee Brewing Company.
There is plenty of good grub at local hangouts like the Sunset Restaurant or Fat Buddies Barbecue. Fine dining can be had at Root + Barrel Kitchen and Cafe Rel.+ More
