Originally constructed 1967, this log and beam structure was one of the first cabins built on Big White Mountain. The home was renovated in 2012 to include modern conveniences (internet, heated floors) while preserving the historical features of this unique property (antlers gifted to our family by the co-founder of Big White). This stand-alone cabin is comprised of two separate apartments (no internal access), and is ideal for an extended family, two families who like to vacation together, or a family travelling with a nanny. Each apartment is self sufficient with its own entrance, kitchen, living room/dining room, fireplace, sleeping spaces, bathroom, and laundry facilities. The upper apartment sleeps 5 comfortably. Turn on the flood lights and watch the snow falling on the trees from the Master bedroom (queen bed) as you drift off to sleep. Kids love climbing the ladder up to the cozy loft (one queen, one twin, futons if needed) - it is like sleeping in a tree house! The open concept living space with vaulted ceiling, and rock fireplace provide a perfect place to gather as a family and play cards or watch the hockey game. Serve up drinks and appies at the bar, while you cook dinner and watch the kids pay outside. The lower apartment has two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with a queen bed ) and sleeps 4 comfortably. Have a soak in the claw foot tub watch the snow fall outside. The property is large, sloped, and perfect for snow play. Gather around the outdoor fire pit at the end of the day, make s'mores and enjoy a hot toddy under the stars. Put on your skis at the cabin, ski down the CAT track, walk 25 metres and you are on the slopes! Ski home directly from the Bullet chair. Restaurants, nightlife, shopping and events are a 5 minute walk away! The parking area is shared with neighbours and our cabin is allocated 2 parking spots. We provide sleds to transport luggage from the road side parking to the cabin (approximately 250 feet down a slope).
