Come listen to the birds chirping, loons calling, and the beautiful landscape with a breeze blowing on a privately owned 4 acre island in a comfortable, cozy and fully furnished 3 bedroom, 1 bath cabin in the beautiful town of Lewiston, Michigan. The cabin is located just up a walk way through a wooded trail, completely surrounded by trees and wild flowers with a panoramic view of the lake. Come enjoy the nature and take peaceful walks around the 4 acre island on the walking trails. There is walking the cabin to a hand built Tiki hut that over looks the lake and beach with access to a fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows or making hobo pies under the milky way sky. We have a hammock that swings over the lake.Tee lake is perfect for swimming, it has some of the deepest waters around and is a fresh spring fed lake. We offer a paddle boat that seats 5, a row boat, 2 kayaks, and access to a Pontoon boat for a daily or weekly fee. There is a Tee Lake boat launch with access if you have your own boat you'd like to bring. If you choose to forgo the pontoon rental, we will gladly transport you to and from the island upon arrival and departure. There is no smoking permitted in the cabin, and the only smoking area is on beach. We do not allow pets. We have access to WiFi and offer dish network with many channels. We also have a land line for emergencies, however no over seas calls. The cabin sleeps 6 during any rental period however we do allow two more guests with space in a pull out couch with an extra cost per person per night or per person for the week.
Vaughn Island is 30 mins from Graying and Gaylord, and 1 1/2 hrs from Traverse City and Mackinaw Island
In Lewiston about 10 minutes from Vaughn Island we the have Famous Tally's burgers and bar, Redwood steak house, Ice cream shops, Family Fare grocery store , laundry mat, Rite Aid, Subway, ACO Hardware , Merchandise Outlet, Dollar General, ATM machine, and bowling alley. We are located 2 miles from Garland golf course 30 mins from canoeing, kayaking and tube rentals on the Au Sable river in Mio, however you're welcome to bring your own Kayaks or canoes to the Island, it is a great lake for tubing as well.
