Located less than 30 minutes from Quebec City and 250 m from the beautiful Saint-Joseph Lake, our chalet is located near a multitude of services. Enjoy our chalet for the tranquility of the neighborhood, the nature setting and mature trees, all the outdoor activities, the comfort and the outdoor terrace in summer, not to mention the many water activities on the lake! It is perfect for couples, solo travelers, business travelers and small families.
Our chalet is located on our private land of 7500 sq ft with a fire area in the backyard. The chalet has 2 bedrooms: the master bedroom with a queen bed and the second with a double size futon bed. We also provide you with a comfortable inflatable mattress if needed. The cottage dimensions is 30 x 24 feet or (9 x 7.20 m) All beddings are included in the rental.
The chalet has an air exchanger and we also have a window air conditioner for the warmer days. The propane fireplace is very nice in winter and in late summer evenings.
The bathroom is fully renovated with shower / tub. Also included in your rental is the washer and dryer as well as the washing liquid. Towels are included in your rental price. The beach towels are not included in the rental.
The kitchen is fully equipped except for a dishwasher. Wine glasses are available for white and red and some wine openers! :-)
You will have access to our condiments we have there such as salt, pepper, butter, olive oil, spices, washing liquid, garbage bags, cleaning products etc.
We also have satellite TV which offers a range of French and English channels (with English Movie Central/Network). We have also an portable computer there with all connections to connect on the TV if you bring your own.
The covered front porch 12 x 22 feet (3.7 x 7 m) with patio set will allow you to relax without worrying about the weather. Sliding curtains can be slid to completely close the space in windy days. A propane BBQ is also available (summer) to really enjoy your vacation outdoors, propane gas included :-)
You will have access to all spaces of the chalet except for a small wardrobe in which we store some of our personnel items located in the bathroom. I also give you access to the shed to store your sports equipment. The garage is not available in the rental, that's the reason you don't see pictures. Parking is private and it is forbidden to park in the streets of Fossambault (city restriction), you will have no problem to park 3-4 cars in our driveway.
Because I am very keen to make you live the best experience possible, I normally will be there upon your arrival to welcome you, show you our chalet and explain the surroundings. Unfortunately, it could be that it's impossible for many reasons, but know that I will remain always available by sms, phone, facetime or email if necessary.
In addition to your stay, if you want dinner on the water, take a pontoon ride, go out fishing (you must have your fishing license), I will be happy, depending on my availability to bring you there. You will have access to all the details for the different options in the manual on arrival at the chalet.
Please note that there's no options of renting sports equipment on the beach (except at SEPAQ DUCHESNAY), so it is highly recommended to bring your own equipment to enjoy. A daily boat launch ramp is available for a fee. The ramp is available at Domaine Rivière aux Pins and pricing depends on engine size.
If you require toddlers/kids equipment, let us know in advance and we'll let you know what we have available at your convenience. We understand it gets crazy to pack all the gear for our kids!
The City Fossambault-sur-le-Lac is recognized as a quiet town and is enclosed by the largest lake in Quebec City measuring 8km long, the Saint-Joseph lake. The population of Fossambault-sur-le-Lac is roughly 2000 souls. La rue du Quai or Pier Street, which is the only dead end avenue near the lake, will ensure a quiet and peaceful stay.
At the end of our street, you have access to the private beach for residents of Fossambault (access card provided by the owner to tenants upon arrival). The beach has security as well as lifeguards. Note that you can drink and eat on the beach but you need to have a foam cover over alcoholic beverages and no fire or BBQ on the beach.
On the lake you can bring your water sports equipment (canoe, kayak, boat) to enjoy as well as your beach gear. The lake is swimmable easily from June to September (depending on your tolerance).
A few steps away, you have a convenience store for your fast needs, otherwise less than 5 km away, you have all the amenities in Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier. (restaurants, liquor store, gas station, shops, church, grocery stores and more)
At roughly 10-minute drive, you have find the SEPAQ Duchesnay Station ( where a bunch of activities are available on land and on water with canoe rentals, kayak, SUP and more. They also have excellent hiking trails in place to walk in the forest. In winter you can enjoy snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobile trails and rentals, Dogsledding and more. Conclude your visit at SEPAQ Duchesnay at their excellent restaurant and take time for yourself with a good massage!
For golf enthusiasts, the Club de Golf Lac-St-Joseph ( is less than 5 minutes from our cottage. Of course you can rent clubs there if necessary.
Fossambault-sur-le-Lac also has a beautiful bike path ( allowing you to enjoy the many beautiful landscapes. The # 6 path takes you Downtown Quebec city, cross through Fossambault and goes up to Rivière-à-Pierre. A nice big hike! We will also give you free of charge, access to our locked shed to store your equipment during your rental (canoes, kayaks, bicycles etc.).
As I am a native and resident of the native community of Wendake, I could not pass under silence the visit of the community located roughly 30 minutes from the cottage ( Restaurant Sagamité is very interesting with their specialty called La Potence, The Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations offers great packages such the discovery package, storytelling and their 4 star restaurant, La Traite.. A visit to the Huron traditional site is essential if you are in Wendake as it is the oldest tourist attraction in the region.+ More
