The Rand Guest House was traditionally a farmhouse that was built in 1845 by a local mixed farmer named Stephen West. The old original farmhouse has a rich history and great effort has been taken to keep it restored to its original state.

The house is equipped with two full bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen with pantry and island, diningroom, porch, den, 2 master bedrooms with queen beds, one single bedroom which is decorated for a child, and a back chamber room that is equipped with a futon. One of the queen bedrooms is also equipped with a futon in a sitting area that could also be used for a bed. The guesthouse also has internet connection in addition to two small televisions with dvd and vhs players.
At the top of the original staircase, there is a beautiful landing area with a large cathedral window which provides a wonderful view of the ebb and flow of the tide.
The grounds are well groomed with many local plants, trees, and rose bushes that are native to the area. A six person hot tub is nestled in under the trees in a secluded area not far from the veranda.
The 40 acre property also has many scenic areas to walk or hike.
One popular picturesque walk is along the top of the 1.5 km Acadian Dyke situated next to the guesthouse property. Come and enjoy the tide breeze that occurs almost on a daily basis.
