Hi, and welcome home!
Our cottage is 750 square feet with smaller bedrooms, a large open living room and full sized kitchen. There is a big fenced backyard, perfect for dogs to run around in. We have off-street parking for two cars, on the side of our house. There is cable, strong WiFi and an air conditioner for the week or two Seattle gets hot. Our home was built in 1911 and is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood full of friendly people and beautiful scenery. It's perfectly located just a short 15 minute drive from Downtown Seattle and the airport, as well as about 5 minutes away from Lincoln Park. Definitely visit this park during the summer to grill and watch the sunset melt over the Olympics, you will not regret it.
We are within walking distance of the Morgan Junction, a retail area with a grocery store, restaurants and a few bars. Local favorites include Beveridge Place (a large classic pub with at least 50 beers on tap), Whisky West (upscale gastropub specializing in all things whisky) and The Bridge (the neighborhood sports bar). A major grocery store is also in walking distance, but that hill back is a doozy so you'd better drive :) We're 420 friendly and the location is within walking distance of one of the new Washington dispensaries.
Check out the Alaska Junction as well; plenty of great food and shopping. A farmer's market opens there every Sunday from 10am-2pm, and it's only a bit more than a mile away. Definitely a local favorite and a fun walk on a lazy morning.
With Seattle so close, and transportation so simple, you can easily go to downtown for the day. If you don't feel like driving, the 21 bus is a four minute walk from home and goes straight to downtown. Once you hit the Jackson street bus station, the world is your oyster. Download the free bus app OneBusAway and go everywhere in Seattle for cheap. Uber response time is also typically very fast.
Enjoy a day of sightseeing and a night on the town, then come to our home and wake up refreshed to the sounds of birds chirping and rain pattering on the trees. We hope to host you and yours very soon!
