My condo is located in a classic 1949 apartment complex that was renovated and turned into condos in 2006. The space is very pleasing with oak and tile floors and new big windows with blinds. It's only one story, with no one above or below - and no stairs to go up or down (except to do the laundry) I've never heard my wall mates make a sound! It's tucked away at the back of the condo complex, not bordering any roads. Instead of being stuck in somebody's basement, second floor, or backyard, you'll have your own quiet space to be totally independent.
Walk through the gates to the north and you're right on Division Street, which is full of restaurants and funky spots. Hawthorne and Mt. Tabor are 10 minute walks. The Condominium Complex borders beautiful bungalow neighborhoods on all sides - complete with tree lined streets, colorful vintage houses, lovely gardens and silly dogs.
It's right on a bus-line that will take you everywhere. The airport is one bus ride to the Max that goes right out there - all for $2.50. ($1.50 if you are 65!) Shopping centers are easy drives a couple miles to the east. The back door is equipped with a key pad so you can arrive when you want. My daughter-in-law is the in-town contact for anything crucial that might come up, but so far I've been able to manage the place from Vermont.+ More
