York County is located in west-central New Brunswick. The capital city of New Brunswick, Fredericton, is located in York County, as are the Saint John and Southwest Miramichi Rivers.
The city of Frederiction is the most populous city in New Brunswick. It became an official part of Canada as early as 1785 and thus abounds with cultural and historical relics.
Fredericton is a lovely university city that is characterized, among other things, by its stunning architecture. The numerous historic churches, for example, the Victorian homes, and the more modern corporate buildings contribute to the city's architectural splendour.
