Grand Beach, Manitoba
Grand Beach and Grand Beach Provincial Park rest on the eastern shores of Lake Winnipeg, in Manitoba, Canada. This is a freshwater beach with lots of activities and attractions to enjoy.
Why Visit Grand Beach
Grand Beach is actually a part of the greater Grand Beach Provincial Park. So, when you go to Grand Beach, you have the best of the park and beach in one destination: swimming, walking, lying on the beach, and, of course, much more. Bird watching, in particular, is a favourite activity, since the park features some of the most beautiful and varied birds on the planet: pelican, bald eagle, tern, and the near-extinct piping plover (which is, incidentally, the same color as the sand).
Other activities you'll find at the park include kiteboarding, blueberry-picking and, in the winter, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
Grand Beach and Provincial Park are great places to enjoy a Canada Day picnic with the family at the Canada Day Family Festival. There's also the Grand Marais Family Festival, and the Manitoba Summerfest. Check them out!
