Welcome to our lovely home! We are fairly new to AirBnB as hosts (though longtime travelers, of course) and are eager to share our little gem. Walking distance to everything on the Embarcadero and downtown, this cozy 2 bed/1 bath home offers everything you'll need for your stay. Go fishing, ride bikes, rent kayaks, or simply enjoy all the food, drink, and nature that Morro Bay provides, before heading home for a glass of wine or BBQ on the ocean-peek patio at sunset. Bon voyage!
Built in 1929, our early Morro Bay home is a lath, plaster, and stucco structure that has stood the test of time. Purchased in 2016 from our friend and longtime Morro Bay resident, we've been able to keep almost all of the original building intact while also updating with modern necessities and decor. It is our hope that you enjoy and treat our home as if it were your own.
A quick note regarding home size: Yes, we do have beds to accommodate up to 6, but 6 adults = a very tight squeeze. Young families of 6 are doable, but 3 adult couples may find our quarters to be a bit too close for comfort :)
As our guests, you have access to every room of the house (kitchen included, of course), ample closet space, extra linens, as well as our lovely front patio and grill.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
During your stay, we will be nearby and available by phone, text, or email. Feel free to ask us any questions about dining and leisure activities in the area (or anything, really).
Our downtown neighborhood is great for many reasons, but here are our favorites:
Saturday Farmers' Market one block away
Morning walks to the Embarcadero for cinnamon rolls
Afternoon walks to Morro Rock along the waterfront
Evening movies at Morro Theatre three blocks away
Kayaking or paddleboarding on a calm, sunny day
Daytime drives up the coast to Cayucos, Cambria, San Simeon, and Big Sur
World-class seafood available at too many restaurants to count
BBQ Tri-tip, Mexican food, Thai food, pizza, ice cream, and coffee all w/in three blocks
Sitting out on the comfy patio and enjoying the company of friends and family
Though our home is walkable to most major Morro Bay destinations, you may wish to leave the car at home and catch the $1 Morro Bay Trolley (summers), Bus 12 to San Luis Obispo for the day, or Bus 15 to Cayucos, Cambria, or San Simeon. To get to the bus station, simply walk one block south and two blocks east. For those with cars, Highway 1 access at either Main St. or Morro Bay Blvd. is about six blocks away.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
