Outstanding place in an outstanding town
This house was wonderfully comfortable, with great amenities and in an amazing location. Besides being historic and in the wonderful Norwood Park neighborhood, it was a 5 minute ride to downtown, a 5-min walk to the greenways, UNC and a 10 minute ride to the BlueRidge Parkway. The kitchen has all the right equipment to both live comfortably and to entertain. The bedrooms are nice sized, comfortable and have great linens. Bathrooms are very modern. The fenced yard was great for our dog and had plantings that gave it both color and privacy to make time it in wonderful. This house is a gem - everything about it was a 10. The owners are easy to deal with, accommodating and very aware of doing things to ensure the comfort and quality experience of their guests. This was our first stay in Asheville - we lucked out by finding this amazing property. You can't beat the location and its renovations have made it more comfortable than many other period houses. As others have said, if you want a near perfect spot in Asheville (walking, close to highways, close to the city (really need a car), close to the breweries, close to the parkway) this is it. Loved it.
