A very rare rental indeed.
I would absolutely recommend this. We had a lovely visit over Christmas and New Year, in a new area of the city for us. It's an immaculate property, a home that has benefited from years of love and attention from the owners, that fits like a well-worn glove that's been well looked after. It's ideal for a party of three (or four). I'd say that the listing description and photos even undersell it a little! The owners were an absolute pleasure to deal with, and made the whole experience totally painless and also made a number of helpful suggestions accumulated from many years spent in the city. Lower Pacific Heights is a great place to stay, as it's a proper residential neighbourhood but still with a great bus service to Downtown San Francisco. The Fillmore Street shops are just a few blocks away, including a Mollie Stones Market for all your basic grocery needs. Locally, we dined at Pizzeria Delfina and Fresca Fillmore; a little further afield we particularly enjoyed Coi and Atelier Crenn, both only a short bus (or taxi) ride away. The delights of San Francisco don't really need retold by me: suffice to say that this was our sixth visit to the city and we're still a long way off exhausting its delights. No doubt we will be back, and I hope that we will manage to stay here again.
