Comfortable, pleasant, interesting
We came from Connecticut to explore Death Valley and Joshua Tree. LOVED JT. Such an amazing spot in the world. It was great to stay so close to the park. This cozy cottage is just as described, with a comfortable and relaxed ambiance. Big patio for sitting outside and watching the sun rise or set. We enjoyed the interesting yard--and the yard of the Harrison House Art & Music Center across the street. (We read up on Lou Harrison once we figured out the connection--which made the whole place feel more intimate and interesting.) Couple of downsides: The refrigerator was not cold; we froze bottles of water and put them in the fridge. We could have called the caretaker, but didn't want to take the time and left a note instead. Had to search around for the washer/dryer (in garage). And the place could benefit from a Welcome book, as someone else stated. But overall, a wonderful, memorable stay. We stayed 3 nights and could easily have stayed longer.
A Perfect Desert Getaway! Walk into the park!
