Huge Luxury, Great Rate
I stayed here with my wife on a dream vacation to Oahu in March. This was the second time that we stayed in this house as we enjoyed our stay in previous year so much that it became our default 'get away from tourist' destination. The manager/owner Laura was very responsive and made it a pleasure to book and make the arrangements. Her family has lived in the area for quite awhile and can give you the details on the best beaches (short walk down the hill) and the local culture. If you like being in the center of Oahu among the throngs of tourists and all the amenities of fine dining and nightlife, then you should find a highrise hotel at $400/night, but if you want a luxury feel in a unique 2000 Sq.ft house at a half of the cost in a very quiet corner of Oahu with beautiful (almost secluded) beaches then this is your Oasis. We enjoyed the solitude, the local great local beaches (almost no tourists), and the small town atmosphere of Waianae with all the locals. The house is quite well equipped with new modern furniture and extremely comfortable bed. We found ourselves sitting on the expansive deck for hours a day watching the waves that were close enough to hear. Fantastic and incredibly relaxing. We had some friends staying at the Ko-Olina Marriott resort down the street about 15 minutes and they were paying more than double and they only had a small room with an almost unusable balcony. Of course, they ended up coming over almost every night to stay with us and chill on our deck and were extremely jealous. The house has one of those full sliding walls that open the living room/kitchen onto the deck, so you have the option to feel the ocean breezes inside and feel like your living entirely outdoors! That's a dream house feature that we used every single day.
