A Cozy Getaway at 10,361 ft!
I honestly cannot think of one bad thing about our stay at the cabin. The cabin is cozy, extremely well kept, newly-renovated, deceivingly bigger on the inside, and freaking cute ( I mean, there are pictures of baby-bears on the walls). It, more than anything, felt that me and my girlfriend were staying in a relatives guest house. All the hospitality of family was there without the awkward dinners (and, you know, ever seeing the owner)=D As far as amenities go, the cabin had everything. Fully functional kitchen (gas stove/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, glassware, cooking utensils, etc), a super comfy bed, a fully-loaded cable box (for those days you get snowed-in, complete with subscriptions to basically any channel), central heating (works like a charm), and a two-person hot tub (bonus!). When you were in the cabin, you felt the privacy of the mountains. But walk outside, and the quaint town of Alma is there for your exploration. And if you require more town to explore (it takes less than 5 minutes to walk from one side of town to the other), both Breckenridge and Fairplay are within a 20 minute drive. I think the thing that really hit this place home for me, though, was how accommodating the owners made the cabin. The cabinets were very well stocked (thanks for the PB!), there was an binder full of activities and information on nearby towns and attractions, and everything was very clean when we arrived. I would recommend this cabin to anybody and everybody looking for an amazing get-away into the Rockies with a significant other or a couple friends.
