Ideal for large or multi-families
My family stayed at this home as a way to get everyone together over labor day weekend. We spent one day in Asheville and another hiking at Mount Mitchell State Park. It was pretty nice, but not the most comfortable accommodation we have ever stayed in. Pros: 1. the deck is lovely and has a nice view 2. it is a close distance from both the Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown Asheville. 3. The kitchen has been updated and is nice and open to accommodate lots of people at meal time. 4. It is pet friendly but does not smell like pets have ever been there Cons: 1. this is a LOUD house- there are minimal rugs/curtains to absorb the sound. Basically, when one person wakes up in the morning it wakes everyone up because all of the noise echoes. Also, everyone can hear you when you use the upstairs restroom. This would not be an ideal place to have a baby or young child.... 2. The futon in the loft is broken, so if you sleep on that you are basically sleeping on a couch. 3. The linens were dated/stained. The owner should really consider replacing the linens in this house. Some of the towels were frayed and a lot of the sheets had strange stains on them. I know they were clean, but it was still kind of gross to lay my head on a white pillow case that had yellowish stains from someone else's sweat or drool.... 4. The parking is tight. Carpool if you can. It worked nicely for us for the weekend, but I do not know if we would stay there again.
