Beautiful, quiet location in North Berkeley
We really enjoyed our four nights in the neat-as-a-pin garden cottage. The hosts, Betsy and Jeremy, were welcoming in every way. The studio easily accommodated our family of four with queen bed and foldout double sofa. The studio space was spacious with ample room for queen bed, sofa, large TV monitor, a small dining table, fridge, microwave, and shelving for dish ware. The internet was speedy for all four of us on our respective devices. The quiet residential neighborhood is a short walk to the diverse establishments of Berkeley's North Side 'gourmet ghetto', including the original Peet's coffee house, Alice Water's Chez Panisse, the Cheeseboard, and many other small restaurants. The UCB campus is only a 15 minute walk. If given the option of staying in one of Berkeley's hotels on relatively busy streets (although none of those were in range of this delectable area anyway), we will on future visits always opt for this peaceful and private cottage, tucked away from the fray and yet so close to it all!
