Location is ok - but overall experience was poor
In a location that is walkable to lifts, restaurants and shops - but owner didn't send address until hours before we arrived, while we were already on the road just hoping she'd respond before we got to Whistler. Doors close at 10pm, we weren't made aware of this ... we arrived at 9:58pm by pure chance. We wouldn't have been able to get in the building if we had arrived 2 minutes later. This was not communicated with us. When we finally stepped inside this studio we were greeted with a thick smell of sweat, we were provided only one key card (made it hard for my husband and I to do different things) that card didn't work. We would stand outside sometimes 7-10 minutes trying to swipe our key card to get inside. The property was listed as a "fully stocked" kitchen and we had planned to make a pot of chili when we got home from skiing but opened up the cabinet only to find two uneven sauce pans. Parking was an additional $45 a night on top of the price we were already paying - another surprise. We had to wait several days for my charged security deposit to be returned to me - I'm in graduate school and don't have a lot of disposable income. I had to pay the security deposit on my credit card bill and then wait to get reimbursed because owner didn't know how to reverse the charge. When I asked her direct questions in the messaging portal leading up to our arrival she would avoid my questions. I've used VRBO several times and this was my worst experience so far.
