Nice accommodations, close to Boone with a beautiful view
The cottage is very easy to find, just a little over a mile from King St in downtown Boone. Steep hill going to it, but very easy to get up there and driveway is very easy to maneuver. Its not a new place, but was very clean, which is more important to me. The outside of the property has some nice flowers and landscaping. You can see a lot of work trying to make this a nice place to stay. A lot of pictures on every wall. A little over the top, but makes for an interesting couple days with a lot of pictures from the area. We did not cook as there are so many restaurants just down the street, but the kitchen looks well stocked. Keurig coffee maker is available for morning coffee. Our mornings, we were greeted by the local friendly cat and a beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain. We ate dinner at the Red Onion on Hardin and Breakfast at Melanies on King, Both are excellent choices. When trying to contact the owner Dave, via email, he would always respond within a couple hours. He was helpful giving instructions, as this was the first time I used VRBO. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the Boone area. We have been to Boone many times visiting relatives and always stayed in one of the hotels, but this was so much better accommodation, with so much more room and cost just a little more than staying in a hotel. When coming back to Boone I will check this place out first.
