What a WONDERFUL long weekend!
The picture of the unit does not/can not do justice to the location. We spent almost the whole weekend on the patio, enjoying the views of bridges, sandbars, boats, dunes in the distance and the sound of waves and gulls! And yesterday, we saw dolphins! The location is absolutely great and the area is very quiet, or at least it was this 2nd wknd in May. The patio has 6 chairs, a large table and grill w/ charcoal, supplies. As the wknd was mostly warm, we had morning/sunrise coffee, afternoon cocktails and more on the patio! The unit is clean and very nicely decorated and very well-equipped. As it is the last in the line of condos, you definitely need the shopping cart located in a stairwell nearby to help you get suitcases and groceries, etc. to the front door. We did not use the bikes. Both bedrooms were comfortable and the master BR has had a half bath added for convenience. But, there is no closet, so a long stay may prove challenging for those who like to hang their clothes rather than use the ample dresser. The 2nd bedroom w/ queen bed and bunk beds DOES have a closet AND a dresser. The living room has comfortable seating in a sectional sofa and two chairs, but the chairs may not work for those with problems getting up and down as they are very low... but comfy when you are in them. Be sure to have someone to help you out! We opted to eat in several times and had GREAT seafood from Ricks (VERY close by). Cooked for us once and by us the next time. Very fresh. Great soups. A good selection of restaurant menus is provided at the house and we also chose a Chinese place that delivered. Yum! As for cooking, the description of the house includes 'spices', but be sure to bring your own. Only salt, pepper and cinnamon on hand. Also... good supplies of foil, paper products, cleaning supplies, etc. They only ask you replenish what you use up. We had brought many of our own. Figuring out the tv, the sound bar and the DVD/VCR were a bit of a challenge, but the cable and large tv in the living room enabled my 95 yr old mom a chance to enjoy some old movies. Never tried the one in the Master BR and never mastered the other in the 2nd bedroom. Oh well. We watched the water instead! BTW, I barely mastered the hot water shower, but when I did, it was great. Be sure you announce to EVERYONE you are showering and to please NOT to use any water while you are in there. We had a small problem locking up when we left, but a phone call to the owner resolved it.
