Peaceful, cozy cabin beautifully positioned on a trout stream.
Our family enjoyed the long June weekend we spent in Boone at this lovely cabin. It is in great condition, beautifully decorated and included all the ammenities to make our stay comfortable while still enjoying the peacefulness of the mountains - two spacious bedrooms with king size beds - well equipped kitchen - washer and dryer - etc. The wifi worked perfectly. Our 15 year old son LOVED the hours he spent wading up and down the trout stream - catching several trout! If you have a fisherman in the group - make sure they pack wadders (not good for bank fishing). Traveling to downtown Boone was very easy (we were there for a baseball tournament at ASU) - taking only 15-20 minutes. We will definitely come back - it was the perfect spot for our family. Please do note - there was no cell phone service. There is a house phone; however, we could not get it to work properly (line was full of static and could not hear). Finding the cabin is a little tricky. They do provide you with a map - GPS is kinda bust up there! Keep your eyes peeled and follow the map closely. Our only frustration was that the wrong key code was given to us by the property management company - then, couldn't call because our cell phone didn't work at the cabin. We had to drive a bit to get cell service to call the property management company - they were very responsive and provided the correct number quickly. The property management company was also very easy to work with as we wanted to come in a little early on the first day (arrived at 2:00 rather than 4:00) - they were awesome to work with and accomodated.
