Great location for watching spring training.... but...
We were thrilled to find a vrbo available in the Phoenix area for a few nights that we would be there watching some spring training games. They were very flexible when we ended up needing to house my in-laws and very accommodating when we accidentally arrived a few hours early due to the time change that occurred since we had left for vacation, however, in all honesty it wasn't the ideal stay. In there advertisement on vrbo it states that the property sleeps 10, that is extremely unlikely. That is assuming most of the occupants are sleeping on air mattresses and a very uncomfortable futon. I would say 4 occupants at most. The other oddity was all the leftover food in the kitchen and refridgerator. It made adding our supplies difficult to an overflowing fridge and I felt it was unsanitary at best. The owners seemed the believe this added to our experience since we could eat someone else food... I didn't think that was so wonderful. Also, the owners used the freezer as an overflow freezer from their main house on the property; their own personal freezer away from the guest house would be a better investment if this is rental property. The owners also store a lot of their overflow decor/seasonal items from the main house here as well. The guest house was in a great location and the actual beds were comfortable, the owners had games and other amenities that were available. There was plenty of towels and extra toiletries in the bathroom. The outside is beautiful and there were so many birds flying around. They also provided home grown grapefruit from their own tress. We were gone much of the time, and never cooked in the house except for a quick breakfast, so I can't say much about the kitchen's equipment. I've never given anything but stellar reviews on any vrbo I've stayed in, so this is a first. I didn't have any reviews on this property when I booked it, so I felt obligated to fill out a review for the future renters. Especially if they are expecting to sleep more than 4 adults.
