Breath of Fresh Air
Charming, clean, well-appointed cabin with gorgeous views of mature forrest in every direction. Truly a well-loved cabin decorated with style and furnished with comfort in mind. Most of our time was spent on the outdoor deck, enjoying the quiet while BBQing. We appreciated all the small touches and attention to detail, including the flashlights to light our path at night, trays to make it easy to transport food, luggage racks in the master, old school style radio to listen to tunes on, etc. Robin and Noah also left a thoughtful welcome gift of wine and homemade jam, which was a lovely touch. Sadly, we hit unseasonably hot temperatures during our stay, which impeded on our plans to hike and explore the town as much as we had anticipated. It also meant that we were unable to use the especially sweltering top floor room of the cabin, despite turning on the ceiling fan and opening windows. Fortunately, the TV den off the main living room sufficed as a place for our baby to sleep relatively comfortably once stripped down to his diaper and with two of the portable fans the hosts provided blowing in his direction. The master bedroom is equipped with a wall AC unit, and the room at the bottom of the stairs tends to remain cooler on its own. If you're bringing a toddler along, keep in mind that there are many levels requiring extra caution to keep little explorers safe. Also, the kitchen door to the deck can be very tricky. We inadvertently locked ourselves out several times. Eventually, we just left the extra set of keys outside. Would love to come back when the weather is cooler. Such a special place to stay with the right group of people, and during cooler times of year. Hope to go back again someday.
