Perfect House for Fun Friends' Weekend
A group of 10 friends stayed at this absolutely beautiful house for an end-of-the-summer weekend celebration and Nate & Mary's house was the perfect place for us to relax. The house is nestled in the woods at the end of a gravel driveway with so many trees, we didn't realize at first there were neighbors. The interior of the house is sleek and beautifully designed with hardwood floors, plenty of windows and tasteful art throughout. My friends and I were immediately impressed and could not stop talking about how beautiful it was. From the start, Nate & Mary were extremely accommodating and responsive - we brought two dogs and an airstream, which was able to be hooked up in the driveway. Upon arrival, there was a guide to the area, a bottle of wine and some dog biscuits to greet us. It's possible that the dogs had the best time of all! During our stay, we cooked multiple (huge) meals and were able to take advantage of a fully-stocked kitchen (we were especially thrilled to find a vitamix for morning smoothies), large outdoor grill, and stove-top griddle. There was plenty of space for us to all enjoy meals together - whether in the screened-in porch or in the dining area, in which we pulled a couple of tables together. At first we were concerned with fitting 10 people comfortably, but the living room couches were quite comfy and an air mattress in the study worked out perfectly. The rest of the house offers plenty of thoughtful touches, including shampoo, conditioner and soaps in the bathrooms, extra linens and towels, a koi pond in front where we could feed the fish and even dimmers on all of the lights (came in handy!). We even took advantage of a nearby 3-mile trail for a morning energizer. I highly recommend staying here! You couldn't ask for a nicer location or more hospitable owners!
