Depending what you are looking for, it's ok
We stayed her for four nights during a vacation to NYC. Depending on what you are looking for in a vacation rental this can be a great find or a letdown. The Pro's: The pricing on this rental was fantastic and the location is excellent if you are looking to visit the museums which you can walk to. It also has a close-by subway terminal which makes getting anywhere very easy. If you fly into LaGuardia it's a quick cab ride over to the rental. The actual bed's were very comfortable (although the sleeper sofa is terrible). The Con's: The apartment itself was somewhat of a letdown to us though. The building is very secure but the bedroom window which opens to the shared fire escape was not in it's tracks and so anyone who was on the fire escape could push the window out of the frame and gain access to the apartment. The "fix" to this when reported was to duct tape the window to the window frame. Also the bathroom pictured on the listing is not the bathroom that is in the rental? We did not have a full size bath/shower as pictured and did not have a full-size sink as pictured. The actual shower and sink in the apartment were VERY small, like micro-small. Finally, the night we checked in the front door handle fell off the door. They did send someone to tighten down the door handle but even after the repair we found it very difficult to get the door unlocked every day when we returned to the apt. So if you are looking for a great location at a very cheap price and won't be spending much of any time in the apt then this could certainly be the place for you. But if you will be spending some time in the apt or are used to having nice vrbo rentals you may want to pay a bit more and get another place.
