Charming Home in a Great Location
We rented the beach house for 10 days. This beach house is in a city. It is more of a city experience then a beach experience. We enjoyed the house because of the following - 1) The owner - Angeline is extremely accommodating. She allowed us to do a payment plan for the rental, she allowed us to check-in early, and she was responsive to all of our questions. 2)Location - Half the sites(The beach, Land's End, Golden Gate Park(Conservatory, Japanese Tea Garden, Rose Garden), Painted Ladies, Golden Gate Bridge, Haight Asbury) in San Francisco are near the beach house and the other half(Cable Cars, Exploratorium, Alcatraz, Ghirardelli, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown) are on the other side of the city. One day we would do something near the house. The next we would do something on the other side of SF. We hiked Land's End 3 times. We loved it. Golden Gate Park is two blocks away. It is a biker and runner paradise. 3) Location - Two blocks walk from a supermarket and two Muni buses. Google Maps is integrated with the SF Public Transportation System. Google Maps allows you to put in your original point and your destination. Then it tells you what buses and/or subway your need to take and how long you need to wait. It is an hour to get to the other side SF by bus. We found the buses a good way to get a sense of the culture and some of the neighborhoods of San Fran. 4) The house has a lot of charm. The hardwood floors, the glass paned door on the living room, the swinging door to the kitchen. And it is clean. The heat works. The neighborhood the house is in is nice as well. 5) The house had the necessary amenities(Paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, vacuum, pots and pans, wi-fi, TV, roku) 6) We used a taxi to get to the house from the airport and we used Uber to go back. We highly recommend using Uber. The taxi was $75 with tip and Uber was $32
