Tranquility only minutes from chaos.
This little cottage in historic Laurel Canyon is literally only a couple of miles from the chaos of the Sunset Strip, yet it is as peaceful as staying hours away in the country. With a teenage son and daughter hotel rooms with bed sharing is no longer an option. Suites, or two rooms, make traveling even more expensive (not to mention the dreaded uncomfortable pullout couch option). The murphy bunk beds, full kitchen, sectional couch and TV, in addition to a king size bed for mom and dad made this place a much better option. The deck and the view are more than icing on the cake. Our Spring Break included Warner Brother Studio, Chinese Theater, Tar pits, Santa Monica pier, Rodeo Drive, The Grove, Farmers Market, Griffith observatory, Mulholland Drive (just up the street), and yet when we drove home to Las Vegas we all felt like relaxing at our cottage in the canyon with the view and cool breeeze was one of the favorite parts of our trip. My only warning is that the 75 stairs you see in the photos are no joke. However, the view from the top is worth it.
