Mt. Rush No More Exceeded Our Expectations!
From the moment we pulled up the driveway, we fell in love with this cabin! From the beautiful porch to the quaint interior, this cabin did not disappoint. The view from the porch almost made you feel like you were up in a treehouse. It was so beautiful! The cabin and property were in pristine condition, which can be hard to achieve up in the mountains. Towels and linens were freshly washed, floors were spotless and imagine our surprise when we saw some 'goodies' left for our young girls and even for my husband and myself! The owners really make you feel welcome!! Oh, and a very friendly note was left for us making us feel even more welcome! The kitchen came with every appliance, pot, pan, etc., that we needed and was spacious for a cabin. The washer and dryer worker perfectly which is great when you're traveling with little ones! The bathroom was the perfect size and in excellent, clean condition! The beds were comfortable (my girls loved the bunk bed) and there was plenty of room for our family and even some friends from the cabin across to play cards. We loved being 'unplugged' with limited device use for our kids. They didn't miss cable or internet at all, and frankly, neither did we! We did have cell service though, so that was reassuring in case of an emergency. One of the biggest bonuses.....air conditioning! Though the nights were cool, the days were pretty hot (and we're from Florida), so it was great to walk into a cool cabin after being outside exploring all day. Another perk is the tin roof. We had quite a few rainy nights and mixed with the creek, the sounds lulled everyone to sleep. My husband said the local golf course is 100% his favorite course to play (the views are incredible) and was sad he couldn't fit in another 18 holes. We were honestly sad to leave the cabin when 'go home' day came. We're hoping to do a repeat trip next year and would LOVE to be able to stay at Mt. Rush No More once again!
