Very quiet and relaxing
My husband and I rented this cottage for three nights. It was a relaxing experience. The property is in a great location. Tucked up at the end of the short road with woods behind you and a few neighbors to the side of the house, but not too close and very quiet. You can walk to the beach in one minute directly in front of the house. The beach is beautiful; wide and clean, never crowded. We spent one day of our trip relaxing on the beach and felt like we had it to ourselves. It felt more like the ocean than a lake. Loved our day there. The cottage has some beach chairs in the basement and beach towels on the porch which made the day perfect. The walk out to the lighthouses was easy and fun. We took a long walk one morning and it was easy with so many sidewalks everywhere. We had a rainy day on our last day there and took a short drive to the town of Pentwater. It was a cute, small town with shops and places to eat and drink. The kitchen is well stocked, and has everything you need, a full sized fridge, microwave, oven, coffee maker. A wild turkey with her little babies came walking through the front yard one morning, and a deer. We went to a West Michigan Whitecaps baseball game and really enjoyed that. Glad we were able to make a visit and see Michigan, our first time in the state, hopefully not our last!
