Lovely private historic space in Charlotte's friendliest neighborhood
My daughter and I traveled from San Francisco to NC, so she could tour a college she's considering transferring to. Jeff was responsive and very helpful in providing local information to help us enjoy our stay. We even extended two nights, and had a great time. The neighborhood is charming, safe, quiet and located very close to restaurants, pubs, parks, downtown and Queen Street featuring majestic, "Beverly Hills"-style mansions. The carriage house is filled with family photos, adding a familial touch. Note that there is no "bedroom" or actual bed in the carriage house, just two fold out couches (I missed that). The shower is also very small (3x3') and bring your own hair dryer. A bottle opener and coffee mugs that fit under the Keurig would've been appreciated, but no big deal. There was also a slight "dog smell" at the entrance inside the carriage house, but we didn't use the downstairs at all--we spent most of our time upstairs so it wasn't a big deal. We had a great time here and would definitely recommend it to others, and hope to come back. Really appreciated the warm Southern hospitality. Thanks, Jeff and Chris!
