Charming and convenient
We went to Placerville on Columbus Day weekend and feel lucky to have found this B&B. It was so convenient to downtown Placerville via a 5 minute walk. The place itself is full of charm from the beautiful plates and place settings to the vintage-inspired luggage mounted on our room wall for storage. It was beautifully decorated for Halloween. The hosts had a delicious homemade breakfast at 9 am each day. There was a lovely shower and tub in our room but it was a little strange to take a shower surrounded by 360 degrees of shower curtain. Notes on traveling there with a toddler: we brought our own crib and travel high chair because they didn't have any. There was a small communal refrigerator convenient for storing milk, yogurt, and other baby food. The room itself was a little dusty under and behind the bed, which wouldn't be a big deal except little ones seem to gravitate to anywhere you don't want them to go. We had to keep a close eye on her while she was in the room. The rooms are separated from each other by the common dining and other living spaces, so hopefully her early morning crying didn't disturb anyone else. Overall, I'd recommend based on convenience, value and charm. We're likely to go back again!
