Great location, cats were a problem
Suzanne is an excellent host, and went out of her way to make our stay a special one! The setting is unique, as it's on a corner of land bordered by the Walla Walla and Yellowhawk rivers. As she mentions, numerous farm fowl (chickens, guinea hens, geese, etc.) roam the property, which translates into a nice local breakfast (read: "eggs". Suzanne was extremely flexible in accommodating our crazy schedule, and breakfasts were diverse, and perfect. Unfortunately, we probably won't be able to stay with her again because of her cats. When we found this B&B on VRBO.com, there was no mention of cats in the house, and when we arrived, we noticed immediately in the air in the house that there were cats inside. It's possible that I'm more sensitive to this because I am allergic to cat dander. The house was clean, but there were signs of cat hair almost everywhere. Cats roamed the house, and one even waltzed into our bedroom, uninvited. In the end, we purchased some benadryl, and I was able to manage my allergies through the stay. As a result, we're rating Yellowhawk Point as average, when we would likely give it a good rating if the cats were not a problem for us.
