Convenient Location, Apartment is Careworn
My husband and I stayed at this Spokane apartment for two days. We liked the convenient location, with its nearby coffee house and restaurants. I have three suggestions for improvement: (1) Ensure that the designated parking spot is open when guests arrive. There was a car parked in the parking spot, and we had to call the apartment owner to find a temporary alternative spot. (2) The furniture is old, mismatched and careworn. For $84/night, I wasn't expecting the Ritz. However, the furniture looked like garage sale specials. There was only one night stand next to the bed, with a reading lamp. On the other side of the bed was a HUGE, portable air conditioner/heater that took up a good one-third of the room. I suggest either replacing the air conditioner/heater with a smaller one or install one in the window. (3) The shower tile was moldy and needed a good cleaning. Also, there was a small amount of liquid bath soap and a used bar of soap in the shower. The next time, make sure there's an ample amount of liquid bath soap and throw away the used bar of soap (very unsanitary). On a positive note, we enjoyed watching TV and the good variety of DVDs. Thanks.
