Comfortable and welcoming
Four adults (myself, my husband, our son and his friend) stayed in this cottage for 2 weeks as we searched for & set up an apartment for the two 19-year olds, who will be attending a small, local college. The owners are perfectly welcoming and accessible, very helpful with everything from spot-on tips about local businesses to how to handle coffee machine quirks. This location was perfect for our unique needs and I believe is best for those who have a car. There is easy access to the major north/south corridors of route 5 (the freeway) and route 99 (Aurora Ave) and we enjoyed trips into the city and out to the coastline (in between shopping trips to all the local thrift stores!). We highly recommend driving to nearby Green Lake for after-dinner walks; there's a 2.8 mile path around it, very pretty and great people-watching to be had. We found this unpretentious, cute, 1920's era cottage charming in every way. The beds are comfortable (the boys alternated sleeping in the 2nd bedroom and the couch, which does not pull-out), the bathroom has a great shower and heated floor, wi-fi enabled us to access the internet and we saved lots of money by cooking/eating in often - out on the back patio in the nice weather. Oh! and if you go in early September you get the benefit of partaking of the wonderful fruit and vegetable garden in the back yard!
