Fantastic Location and Accommodations
We stayed at this beautiful home on a quiet private road in the middle of wine country for the weekend and couldn't have asked for nicer accommodations. The host, Jennifer, left us a lovely bottle of champagne from Wilson Creek and truffles from a sweet shop up the road, with a note wishing us a nice stay. Coffee and creamer, along with some snacks were also a welcome surprise. The whole house looks recently redone and everything was quality -- the linens, the dishes, the furniture. The bathrooms were beautifully updated and the towels plenty. There is an awesome view of the vines from the front porch and living room couches. The dining table was a great place for us to gather, eat, drink wine and talk. Friday night we were able to take an uber car to old town and had great burgers and beer at 1909 -- a really fun place -- cost about $12 bucks each way in and out of town to the house. Saturday day we took the wine trolley for a tour of 4 wineries. Though they wouldn't pick us up from a private home, we were able to meet them at South Coast Winery which was literally minutes away (roughly 2.5 miles), so the proximity of this home to the pickup location was a great match. Also an added perk is that the house is within walking distance of Lorimar Winery that has entertainment (classic rock quartet) and food. We walked over to Lorimar Saturday night and enjoyed sitting on the patio with a terrific bottle of wine, eating gourmet french fries in front of a roaring fire while the music played and people danced. There are also MANY nice wineries in the area if you don't want to drive far. All in all we will DEFINITELY be recommending this place to our friends headed to Temecula Wine Country. We couldn't have asked for better location or accommodations. Thanks Jennifer for making our stay so special.
Walk to several of the area's finest wineries, less than a mile away.
