Perfect Honeymoon Destination
Although I had lived on Maui for four years, I had never been to Molokai. Now that we live on the mainland and decided to have a Hawaiian honeymoon, we decided to give Molokai a try. We are so glad we did! First let me say how wonderful the owners, Pat and Rich, were to work with. They answered all of our questions, made suggestions, and provided so much help along the way. The unit is adorable. Clean, neat, newly remodeled. It had everything we needed. The WiFi was strong and steady, the tv was very nice. The bathroom was very clean and they provided great linens, along with beach towels and beach chair. The murphy bed was very comfortable and a breeze to put up and down. We watched a great sunset every night from the lovely lanai. It was well equipped with great appliances, there is a toaster , coffee maker and a rice cooker. We took advantage of their car rental and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the island in their Pathfinder. The folks renting the unit just ahead of us were at the airport with the vehicle within minutes of our arrival. It ran well and was in great condition. We were able to visit the other end of the island (twice!) and if we hadn't had the vehicle, we'd have missed some amazing things. I highly recommend renting their car. While researching Kepuhi Beach, I saw some reviews that pointed out the "abandoned feeling" and "run down" buildings on the site. If you're looking for negatives, then yes I suppose you could say that. However, we loved the fact that only about half the buildings were active. It was so quiet and lovely. The grounds are gorgeous, the pool was clean and never crowded. The on site bbq was fantastic and we cooked on it a few times. We were minutes away from one secluded beach after another. Every time we took a walk it seemed we found some place new and beautiful. We will definitely be back.
