Bright, cozy haven
Hoboken does not have a lot of options for hotels or short-term rentals. This apartment worked well for our week-long needs. The location was close to the busier downtown streets. We are great walkers so we didn't mind the trek to the PATH and the ferry to get to Manhattan. We liked the fresh appeal of the all-white interior, the cleanliness and the contemporary touches. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was fine. Wifi was not mentioned in the listing, but we were delighted that it was available. There was a television, but apparently no cable, so don't plan to watch TV. The building was not very pleasant. The apartment was up several flights of stairs--cumbersome for hauling suitcases, and could be a real challenge for elderly. The apartment itself was an oasis in the building. We would have liked bedside lamps on both sides of the bed. Also the toilet ran constantly, but it was far enough from the bedroom that we didn't hear it at night. Hopefully that's been fixed. The owner was very accommodating. He made it very simple to check in and check out.
