Fall Trip to Big Bear
We had a wonderful stay at the Twin Pines cabin. There was plenty of room for our two kids to play (they loved the loft area with the Wii) and for the adults to spend time downstairs. The cabin is very centrally located - close to the markets, close to the zoo, and close to the mountain activity areas. The kitchen was well stocked and the cabin was very clean and the listing photos and description are very accurate. The owner was very responsive in answering any questions I may have had. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend. Activities and attractions I would recommend: Mountain biking - Snow Summit (difficult terrain - advanced riders) Oktoberfest - Beer, German bands, contests, fun kid activities (Sundays are family days where kids are free) Moonridge zoo - small but well worth the entrance fee (where else can you see a 3 legged bear, hear bald eagles communicate with each other, see a family of grizzly bears, and howl with a pack of wolves) Restaurants: Get the Burger - a little pricy but good burgers No Name Pizza - great take and bake pizza
