Cozy "off-the-grid" getaway
Our family of 5 plus 3 dogs enjoyed our stay. We had planned to stay for 3 nights, but unfortunately one of our kids was sick and we only were able to spend a day and a half there. However, we did enjoy the proximity to the lake and state park and took a few walks there with the kids and the dogs. The house itself was very well stocked with everything we could need. The beds were comfortable as were the couches. For a smaller house, it certainly felt big. The back yard looked like it would be great during the warmer months. Our only issue was the very minimal and inconsistent cell phone service. While we enjoyed getting off-line for a few days, we ultimately had to leave because there was not an easy way to communicate with our doctor back home and the nearest urgent care was at least 30 minutes away (at night). Monica was very understanding of our situation and we sincerely appreciate her hospitality. We hope to return again one day when all are healthy!
