Great location, below average apartment
There are pros and cons to this apartment. The pros are significant: the location - near the beach, public transportation - the views; great parking; the apartment is very large; and it was clean. The cons are also considerable: the apartment is not just dated, it is rundown- there are stains on the carpet, patches of missing wallpaper and a stained fabric used as a window covering. The worst aspect, however, was the kitchen. There was no pot of a normal size and both the pots and the pans were incredibly old, there was no wooden spoon (or plastic cooking spoon), oven mitt or kitchen towel. Luckily, we had not planned to cook a meal because I don't think it would have been possible, but beyond the practical it made us feel like we were squatting in someone's abandoned apartment. Also, we called Jonathan the first night when we had trouble with the door locks (which were so old it took considerable jiggling to open with the key) and he never called back during our three night stay. Then, we really felt abandoned.
