Adrian greeted us when we arrived, again when we left and was available as needed when we were in town (restaurant recommendations, house stuff, etc). In short, Adrian was the absolute perfect host. The house itself was exactly as described and pictured on Homeaway, which pleased me. The neighborhood is a short walk from the arts district and therefore very convenient for us because we were in Baltimore to perform at the Mercury Theater, a mere 6 blocks away. The one thing to know about the neighborhood is that it is a diverse neighborhood in a major metropolitan city and as such might make some who are used to their own back yard feel uneasy. Relax. It's a lovely neighborhood and my performance partner and I never felt uncomfortable or unwelcome in the slightest. There are coffee shops, restaurants, various stores all within easy walking distance. It was the perfect location for getting to know real Baltimore, not the Baltimore most tourists see from the front door of their chain hotel near the water. A few more words about the space, both bedrooms are comfortable and each has its own well appointed bathroom. Also, there is a washer/dryer with laundry supplies, GREAT kitchen, plenty of blankets, pillows, towels, etc. In short, it was like being home, which is what Homeaway is all about. To summarize: great space in a fun neighborhood hosted by one very nice and helpful person who is the best host ever. I guess it's easy to tell that I was very satisfied.
