OK Property for the National Harbor
This is a good place to stay if you are in town for something at the Gaylord. The unit is roomy, clean, and adequate. I don't have anything bad to say. Checking in is like entering a third world country - mass chaos in the lobby. Has stayed here before and things are no different. Unless, of course you hit it just right, you will have to stand on a line that doesn't move too quickly. Checking out was easy and efficient. The staff is very pleasant and seeks to be helpful. As this unit is part of a timeshare complex, you have to navigate the salespeople on your way to the elevator to get to your room. They all want to be your new best friend and hope you will attend one of the meetings and buy in to the system. Location is good for National Harbor. if you want to go into DC you have to drive in (horrible traffic) or get to a Metro station (you have to drive). You just can't walk to a metro and take the train in. PS = DC has one of the best metro rail systems in the world. We would stay here again. The room was quiet and comfortable, once you were inside. Lots of kids in the complex. You certainly get more bang for your buck staying here than in one of the hotels. PS - if you want a nitecap in your room, there are no liquor stores in the walking area of National Harbor.
