Stunning view, large condo, well-equipped kitchen
We were lucky enough to be one of the first renters of this spectacular condo. Lucky, because at the time of this writing the photos online don't do this place justice. We gambled a bit and it paid off big-time. So, here's the scoop: This 2nd story (top floor) condo is situated off the beaten track in a golf course community with a million-dollar view of mountains and valleys and essentially NOTHING else. You feel like you're all alone. The sky at night is star-filled and in the morning the "smoke" of the mountains fills the valley until the sun burns it off. You gaze at that breathtaking view from just about every room - the LR/DR, which has high cathedral ceilings, as well as BOTH bedrooms. All three have sliding glass doors to an enormous 40' long deck that spans the width of the condo. Part of the deck is covered, with comfy patio furniture underneath. There's also a grill and outdoor dining table in the uncovered part which are great for cooking and eating out in the open air. Inside, the LR focuses your attention on the view, as it should, with a very comfy couch and a few not-as-comfy chairs. The DR has a large table. The MBR has a high pillow-top Q bed that's very nice (the room could easily handle a K), and a 2-sink en suite master BA that's huge, with a soaking tub and separate shower. The 2nd BR is also nice-sized and there's a BA across the hall. The kitchen is at the "back" of the condo and comes fully equipped with nearly everything you could possibly want - pots/pans, silverware, dishes, utensils, sharp knives, 4-pc toaster, even dish soap, paper towels, dish towels, and dishwasher detergent, some plastic wrap & baggies, etc. It's the best equipped kitchen we've ever had at a HomeAway/VRBO rental. All we needed to bring was food. There's also a laundry room. Most of the condo has hardwood floors that are super-smooth and homey to walk on. Sharon, the owner, is marvelous about making sure your stay is as perfect as possible. This condo feels like home the minute you walk in. Only downsides: Internet is DSL so don't expect blazing speed; watch out for wasps that tend to like the deck at certain times of the day (other than that - no bugs while we were there in Aug); It's a 10-15 min drive to town, but the picturesque view is SO worth it. You can't go wrong with this place - among the best we've ever rented.
