Beach views/whale watching
We spent 2 nights @ Jeanell's beach studio. We spotted a whale the first afternoon and fortunately, there was a set of binoculars available! The views of the ocean and beach were amazing! The outdoor "kitchenette" is limited, as the owner says in her description. It is also a very cluttered area. Because everything is outside, nothing is really clean. We were visited by something in the middle of the night that ate through a bag and left a mess the next morning. We made sure to not leave anything out after that. But the second night, it returned and made scratching, gnawing noises that kept us awake. When I told Jeanell what happened, she did say that she forgot to tell us that we should put our things in an ice chest because there are cliff dwellers day and night (raccoons, skunks, squirrels, chipmunks and mice). Perhaps that suggestion should be visibly posted in the kitchen area and noted in the House Rules for safety and cleanliness concerns. There was an informational file that provided some good tips for dining out, we especially enjoyed Johnny's Harborside and Crow's nest. Our dealings with the owner were pleasant and brief, only meeting at the front of the house when we arrived and responding to texts about the critter. The studio is in a good location, close to the beach. We enjoyed the view and whale watching.
