Review 1885 Farmhouse - Sharon, Connecticut
Walter and Karen's 1885 Farmhouse in Sharon, was all that it was portrayed to be. The house is nestled under huge shade trees, and a breeze kept the house and yard cool, relative to the ambient temperatures which were in the 90's. The house was actually larger than it appeared, and accommodated our adult children and their spouses with plenty of room for everyone to relax. They yard is where we spent most of our time - a great place to kick back and unwind. I loved the plantings, and wonder what the name of the plants that are outside the back kitchen windows – very cute! The house was very clean and the yard spacious. Walter and Karen provided an envelope with entertainment opportunities – restaurants, parks, and beach locations. Also provided was essential emergency information for first aid supplies in the house, and the hospital contact information, as well as idiosyncrasies of the house itself. I loved all the reading material available – I’m a library director – and the topographical maps of the area were a hit. We very much enjoyed our stay, and would recommend the farmhouse to others!
