One-week winter getaway
The condo was good and the area was ok. It is a very bare-bones condo but clean and a nice layout. When we arrived there was no tv, living rm lamps or sofa. Also, all light bulbs were burned out except one in kitchen and two in dining room. Carlos was great and brought us lamps, a tv and light bulbs but it took three days of planning our days around his arrival. He also brought a living room chair from his house. The only other seating was a very uncomfortable futon so we sat on dining chairs for the entire week ~ not great!! We would have stayed in a hotel if we didn't want to cook, but we wanted to cook most meals here. We bought a kitchen towel, pot holders, measuring cups & spoons and a cake pan and left them there. My husband cleaned the living room mirror which was full of smears and we couldn't stand it. He also changed the exterior light bulb so we could see to get up the stairs each evening. My sister cleaned the patio and front steps. The bedrooms were very bare bones with no blankets and no tv's (a first for us). Also, the bathrooms didn't have hand towels so we bought hand towels, which we took with us. Carlos was great to work with. He added some inexpensive side tables and lamps to the master bedroom before we arrived so my husband had a place for his sleep apnea machine and we appreciated that. Overall, the condo met our needs and it was nice to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We also liked having a washer/dryer which we used a couple of times. Plus, we washed the condo towels before we left. We would stay there again if it was improved with comfortable living room furniture and bedroom tv's. The owner needs to spend a little money to make this condo meet the standards of other condos. And, Carlos needs a pay raise, regardless of what he is making now!!! He was wonderful to help us as best he could.
