Great service while booking, poor service after that...
We recently stayed here over a long Easter weekend. The condo is spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated, and convenient to activities on the island. Had we not encountered all the issues listed below it would have been perfect. We called the morning before we left to confirm there would be linens as described in the agreement. When we checked in there were none, and it took 4 calls and almost 5 hours to get them. It was close to 9PM when they arrived. There was also the issue of a disconnected, stacked washer/dryer in the middle of the entrance hallway/kitchen. When we called they said it was out of the closet because someone was working on the AC. We then quickly noticed that the AC was not working. We called 2-3 times each day and were told that a ticket would be put in, but in 4 days no one ever came out to service it. It was obvious that the building AC was still being installed, so they likely knew ahead of time that the AC would not be working. But I will say the most frustrating part of the trip was realizing that I had left a load of my toddler's items in the washing machine when we left. We emailed that evening and Better Beach Rentals said they would look into it. We tried for a week to get a response. I finally got someone on the phone and she advised that my items mysteriously disappeared. Really?! It was over $70 in items, including something of sentimental value. How in the world does housekeeping or the owners "lose" this? It was literally left IN the washer. We were looking for a place to stay once or twice a month, but this will not be it. The price was very reasonable, but they need to be upfront with the issues and let people decide ahead of time, not once they arrive, if they are willing to do without a w/d or AC.
