Bring birdseed and peanuts!
We had a lovely stay here. As a previous reviewer indicated, this home is bigger than it looks. We only stayed one night, but the gas fireplace came in handy for the chilly evening. The owner has a book with clear instructions for just about everything (like which of the 4 remotes you need to use to play a DVD), though we did have to wing it when the heat stopped working. (Hint: go outside and flip the breaker) We brought birdseed to fill the feeder in the back yard, and peanuts to scatter around the back porch, and by midday we were enjoying chipmunks, blue jays and woodpeckers galore. We were enjoying the wildlife so much we got (very gently) busted by the owner for being there past checkout (apparently there's a camera trained on the parking pad). The only negative thing I can say is that there was no hand soap anywhere in the house. Shampoo and dish soap yes, but nothing to wash your hands with in the kitchen or either of the bathrooms. For fun, check out the Urban Adventure Quest in downtown Big Bear.
